CATFISH AND CARP PELLETS

 Catfish and carp have finished their annual appointment with spawning and this is determined by the temperature of the water, depending on the year, the level of the reservoir and that temperature can vary the dates in a few weeks.

This year the spawning of carp and catfish has been brought forward by almost a month compared to what has been normal in other years, the illogical temperatures on those dates, the lack of flow, a very low reservoir level for what is usually the case in spring They have meant that everything has gone very quickly and the season of fishing for pellets has been brought forward compared to other years.

But the fish are still there and pellet fishing is still quite effective and relaxed fishing if you know how to choose the fishing spot, now more than ever due to the scarcity of water it is important to choose the fishing spot well.

These are some photos of the first day of fishing for pellets of the season in which some fish came out, including a catfish that easily exceeded the 2M barrier.

WINTER CARPFISHING IN THE EBRO RIVER

 The big carp of the Ebro, although with the drop in temperatures their metabolism slows down and they move less in search of food, it is still possible in these winter months if you have a good strategy when fishing for them.

With the water below 10º, getting bites is complicated, but on the contrary, large fish are the ones that show their faces the most, it is these months that bring the largest catches.

Much more important than massively baiting the waters is to take the postures to places where they usually move in these conditions, a simple boilie or pellet placed in the correct position and with a handful of bait (micropellets, corn, hempseeds) around, can find what What are you looking for, a small, highly concentrated bait is enough in these months and above all, know where you are fishing, if you know the bottom of the reservoir you have a lot in favor.
